    Hi there,

I’m really excited to have found this Web site and this particular conversation thread.

Are you looking for creative writing about refugee experiences? If so, check these Canadian ones out:

Nega Mezlekia’s memoir _Notes from the Hyena’s Belly_
Camilla Gibb’s novel _Sweetness in the Belly_
M.G. Vassanji’s short story “Refugee” published in the collection _Uhuru Street_
Neil Bissoondath’s short story “On the Eve of Uncertain Tomorrows” published in a collection by the same name.
There are also a number of poems by Lillian Allen, Olive Senior, and others; if you’re interested, I can look them up and add them to this list.

A great book published from a political science perspective and aimed at academics is _Rethinking Refugees: Beyond States of Emergency_ by Peter Nyers
Another book published from a sociology perspective is _Mistrusting Refugees_ by Danielson and Knudsen

Are these the kinds of things you’re looking for?
