The Refworld Database of the UNHCR is set up to provide information for the UNHCR Field Offices, governments, NGO’s, and those providing legal help. Originally, Refworld was only available on CD-Rom, but it is now available free of charge on the Internet.
The Refworld Website provides access to more than 76,000 documents about home countries, jurisprudence, treaty agreements, research reports, trainings materials, and much more.
The information gives access to land/regions with key words, to subject topics (for example, women, statelessness, volunteer repatriation), and to the type of document. It is also possible to search for specific words from a text.
